She's Like the Swallow

At Oklahoma State, part of my assistantship is to run the all men's chorus, Statesmen. While choosing their music for the Spring 2017 semester, I came across a couple arrangements of this text. I absolutely fell in love with the text, but none of the arrangements stood out to me. I decided to write my own using bits of the original melody, while also creating my own melodic idea. I asked the help of my good friend Jordan Andrews to write the accompaniment, and by the end of November, the piece had come to be.
