Welcome Home

Walking home from an evening choral rehearsal a couple of years ago, I heard the news of Landon Jaros passing.  Having been a part of Platte County football, I shared in the sadness with others in the community at the loss of this little boy.  I found a text and started composing through that night, finishing in the early morning.

When I compose, I like to create a story for my listener.  This story is from the perspective of the recently departed, telling his loved ones that they will all meet again.  Platte County premiered the work on May 9, 2017, with love and heavy hearts for their fellow Pirate family --- and with a hope that this work gives comfort in knowing we will be welcomed by our loved ones again.
