How Sweet the Moonlight
Utilizing the character Lorenzo's monologue from Shakespear's The Merchant of Venice, my interpretation of How Sweet the Moonlight tells a story of two loved ones sitting cliffside observing the ocean at night. Their surroundings are the sound of music ringing in their ears, with the middle section representing the nerves of a man getting ready to propose to his love and letting his emotions be heard by all on that cliff. The repeat of the first section reminds us of their love and the beauty that they represent.
Dedicated to my friends Sean Carder and Andrea Boswell on their engagement.
